The Alviro Petersen Foundation has sprung into 2017 with a renewed energy and determination with a 4 day drug awareness workshop at four different schools in the Northern Areas of Port Elizabeth from 27 February until 2 March 2017.

In addition to the drug awareness workshops, the foundation will also start with the bullying workshops to be held on Friday 3 March 2017.

The entire week of workshops within schools and the community will culminate in the much anticipated Alviro Petersen Foundation Cricket Challenge which will see two primary schools and 3 high schools participate on Saturday 4 March 2017.

Once again the Foundation will pay for 33 students school fees, either in full or part thereof, in line with previous years.

Once again the sponsors have shown a real interest in the work of the Foundation and Momentum Health have come on board as the title sponsor, while This-is-Eat restaurant have come on board as an associate sponsor and Bay FM radio station the radio partners for the Challenge.

"We would like to thank all our sponsors for their continued support of the Foundation, as well as the teachers, students and the community for their willingness to seek a better life for our kids and students,” the founder of the Foundation, Alviro Petersen said.

Further events for 2017 will be released in due course.
