The Alviro Petersen Cricket School is proud to be able to announce that Kim Bekker has been appointed as the new operations manager.

Kim who is currently a provincial cricketer, is also a qualified sport psychologist, and holds a CSA level 1 coaching certificate, will be in charge of the day to day operations of the Cricket School, as well as lead the mental coaching department.

"Kim has shown great leadership and a passion for cricket since joining the AP Cricket School in December 2014, and I think it’s a great opportunity for her to show how successful she can be.

“Part of her role is to develop girls cricket and head up the mental coaching department as well, and I know its something close to her heart. I wish her well in her new role, and I’m sure she is looking forward to this unique challenge," the AP Cricket School director Alviro Petersen said.

Brandon Hooke and Justin Nefdt have also been appointed as coaches at the AP Cricket School and they will report directly to the operations manager.

These appointments came after Ethon O Reilly decided to pursue a playing career with EP Cricket in Port Elizabeth.

Kim Bekker said: "We wish Ethon well for the future, and thank him for his services to the Cricket School. He was a great ambassador."

In welcoming the new appointments Alviro Petersen said: "I would like to wish Brandon and Justin happy coaching with us, and I’m sure they will contribute to the overall success of the organization."

The AP Cricket School hopes to complete its Indoor Centre at Curro Aurora Private School, Randburg, Johannesburg by the end of October 2015.
