About the Alviro Petersen Foundation

The Alviro Petersen Foundation was launched in Johannesburg, South Africa in November 2013.

In January of 2014 we delivered sport equipment and clothing to Fontein Primary School, Gelvandale High and Otto Du-Plessis High Schools in Port Elizabeth.

We have built relationships with the above schools, and is actively involved in community upliftment. The real issues in the community however is drugs, women & children abuse and gangsterism.
On 7 and 8 April 2014 we started our drug awareness workshop at Gelvandale High and Otto Du-Plessis high schools, and we can report that it was very successful and even more educational to ourselves. We have partnered with 2nd Chance [drug awareness trust], who managed the workshops on our behalf.

We are in the process of setting up our women & children abuse workshop and will implement this later this year.

Furthermore, we have already set the date for the annual Alviro Petersen Cricket Challenge between Gelvandale High School and Otto Du-Plessis High School, to take place on 11 October 2014 in Port Elizabeth.

We have several initiatives and programs that we are looking into, and will keep our followers advised as to progress of such in due time.

While we have done so much, we understand that there is so much more to do...

A special thank you to all our sponsors, donors and trustees of the foundation. Your contribution is highly appreciated.
